TTU Back to School Fiesta – Lets get started!

The Texas Tech University Division of Institutional Diversity, Equity & Community Engagement invited us to be a part of their Back to School fiesta again this year. Last year we had a great success at the event by meeting with hundreds of K-12 students and talking about FIRST, the opportunities available by being a part of robotics and latest technologies available in the market such as 3D printing. The Back to School fiesta is an annual event which targets K-12 students from various socioeconomic backgrounds and introduces a diverse ethnic group of kids to the TTU campus and the wide programs the students can be part of.

This year we had an indoor and outdoor booth available. Inside, we had a table set up with flyers about FIRST, quadcopters, 3D printed parts and handed out pencils to the students. Mantis, our 2014 robot, was a popular attraction in the outdoor booth. We meet with thousands of kids and recruited a few for the upcoming season! In all, it was a fun event and we look forward for next year!
