Applebees Fundraiser

The team helped raise funds at Applebees on 4th and Milwaukee today. We sold tickets for a delicious breakfast of unlimited pancakes and bacon. The students and the mentors took shifts of greeting at the door, seating the guest, serving the tables, and cleaning. It was a lot of fun seeing our families and friends come out to support the team.

We really appreciate Applebees for providing us the location, and everyone who was there to lend a hand!

2014 RoboRaiders Lock-in

The RoboRaiders met at Christ the King Catherdral’s Family Activity Center on Saturday night, February 8th for some team bonding time, starting from 7 p.m to 7 a.m.¬†We had team members bring homemade food and snacks. We played basketball, air hockey, board games, ping pong, Jenga, and video games. Along with that, we painted posters, banners, and made spirit items. We stayed up all night laughing, having fun, and creating wonderful memories. Spending time with each other, aside from Robotics, brought us closer together as a team.

We would like to thank Starbucks and Krispy Kreme for donating breakfast to our team the next morning!

Forrest Shipton, our student, on the local news!

It was exciting to see our fellow student Forrest Shipton being recently featured in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal for creating a prosthetic Robotic arm using 3D printing technology. This arm is able to hold a egg, a base ball and a drill.
